A Unified Model Predictive Voltage and Current Control for Microgrids With Distributed Fuzzy Cooperative Secondary Control

A microgrid formed by a cluster of parallel distributed generation (DG) units is capable operating in either islanded mode or grid-connected mode. Traditionally, using model predictive control algorithms, these two operation modes can be achieved with separate and different cost functions, which brings complexity hence, compromises system reliability. In this article, unified voltage current strategy proposed for both operations their smooth transition. The function kept taken into account without altering the architecture. It used high-quality supply at primary level bidirectional power flow tertiary level. addition, only DGs' own neighboring information, fuzzy cooperative algorithm developed secondary layer to mitigate frequency deviations inherent from droop. controller optimize coefficients further quality improvement. Comprehensive tests under various scenarios demonstrate merits over traditional methods.
